Fleas

Fleas are an increasing problem and can affect your pet all year round.  They are caught outside but once in your home will happily live there in carpets, soft furnishings or the cracks between flooring – 95% of their life cycle is spent in the environment.  If your pet has an infestation of fleas we would recommend treating your house with a specialised spray to help kill them. It is also important to use an effective spot-on treatment on any other pets in your home, as fleas will migrate to feed!  Prevention is better than cure!

 

Regular treatments throughout the year should keep your pet flea-free.  If we haven’t seen your pet before, please bring them in for a free weight check, to ensure we dose them correctly, and to get some advice on the right treatment for your pet from our qualified nurses.
