Rabbits can be vaccinated against Myxomatosis and Viral Haemorrhagic Disease (VHD). Both diseases are very infectious and potentially fatal – for example VHD can kill in 48hrs. Myxomatosis is spread by biting insects and can affect indoor rabbits as well as those outside. Vaccination starts at 6wks for Myxomatosis (booster every 6-12 months) and 10-12 wks for VHD (booster yearly).
